CHRISTIAN LEARNING CENTER

Our mission is to help children grow and learn in a Christian environment.
TOP TENNESSEE STAR RATING
CLC is evaluated annually by the Department of Human Services. We are assessed in many areas which are stated on our Report Card. Parents can view our Report Card outside the Director's office.
We are pleased to announce we received the highest rating of a 3-Stars!

GENERAL INFORMATION
We accept children ages 18 months to 5 years, with New Horizon members given top priority. Enrollment is first-come, first-served. Children must be potty-trained for our 3- and 4-year-old classes. Parents and children must tour the CLC and meet with the Directors, who will provide an orientation and give the monthly calendar, medical release, immunization, influenza forms, and TN Rules and Regulations. A completed Student Package and a non-refundable registration fee of $50 (additional $25 per sibling, up to $100) are required.
SCHEDULE
At CLC, we offer a full-time, 5-day-a-week preschool program from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., following the Milan Special School District schedule. Drop-off is 8:00–8:30 a.m. and pick-up is 1:45–2:00 p.m., and we close promptly at 2:00. CLC does not provide lunch, so parents should pack a nutritious lunch and snack each day, with fruits and vegetables cut into small pieces.

CURRICULUM
We follow the TN-ELDS, Tennessee Early Learning Developmental Standards, as well as Bible ABC Curriculum Notebook which is biblically based. Since CLC is a ministry of New Horizons, we do incorporate the bible into our daily lessons along with the Alphabet, Numbers, Shapes, Colors, and much more. We have chapel each day in the sanctuary where we pray, have a short devotional, and sing. At CLC we do offer a balance of teacher directed activities as well as free choice play.
